LGBTQ Project Plans Community Forum
A community forum about how to make Napa Valley a more welcoming, inclusive and safe place for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning people will take place Tuesday, Oct. 11, in McPherson Elementary School’s Multi-Use Room.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will include appetizers, beverages and dessert.
The long-term goal of the Napa LGBTQ Project is to open Napa’s first LGBTQ center within the next year or two, said Ian Stanley, the Napa LGBTQ Project Program director.
The Project is currently planning the resources and programs needed within the local LGBTQ community.
People are encouraged to RSVP at napalgbtqproject.org. Those who want to volunteer to help put on the event should email Stanley at ian.voices@gmail.com.
